PACKAGING/BOOKBINDING

VIVELLE Papier has been used mainly for box lining because of its soft protective qualities and attractive range of colours. VIVELLE Suede is a popular material with manufacturers of etuis particularly in mainland Europe. Neither material will tarnish or discolour as the products are inert. In some of the more creative boxes VIVELLE Grass has been chosen to complement the ‘natural’ appeal of the contents. VIVELLE Papier has been used in the wrapping of expensive fragile items such as furniture, glass and vulnerable corrugated plastic sheeting. VIVELLE Papier and Suede are used to line the inside of books and diaries and Papier, Suede and Grass have also been used on exterior book covers for particular 'fun fashion' projects.
There is a massive market in Japan and the Far East for compact disc protection. A circular piece of VIVELLE Papier is decorated with foilblocking to promote a particular music company and then inserted in to the CD case. The VIVELLE Papier draws dirt and dust away from the CD and stops scratching. The CD pads can also be bought separately in packs and are often used as promotional ‘give aways’.
